Day One

  • Overview of background of the Herbal Compression Balls
  • Brief overview of Thai sen lines and meridians in relation to the correct application of the Herbal Compression Balls
  • Indication and Contraindications to using the Herbal Compression Balls
  • Safety procedures related to correct heating processes
  • Demonstration of the correct Herbal Compression Balls procedure incorporating Shedding, Compression and Misting as part of the treatment procedure
  • Hands-on practical massage using the Herbal Compression Balls using Shedding, Compression and Misting as well as addressing sen lines and meridians in the massage process
  • Introducing thermal stones with Mostly Massage herbal Compression balls

Day Two

  • Study of the herbs used in the traditional Thai Herbal Massage/Compression Balls
  • The difference between dry and fresh ingredients in making herbal compression balls
  • Brief practical demonstration of how to use the Herbal Massage/Compression Balls
  • Western Herbs and how to use them in traditional Herbal Compression Balls
  • Making your own Herbal Massage/Compression Balls

Understanding the Iliopsoas Workshop

The importance of the Iliopsoas musclein relation to back pain and a broadrange of other musculoskeletalconditions is well known.

This workshop will;

  • examine the many roles of the iliopsoas muscle
  • supply sound information on this muscle's position and function
  • cover musculoskeletal conditions related to this muscle when it is dysfunctional and/or shortened
  • explore the role of the iliopsoas in survival response
  • demonstrate a range of functional assessment procedures for the iliopsoas
  • practical clinical approaches for the massage therapist to treat the dysfunctional iliopsoas muscle
  • demonstrate a number of stretches that the client can use at home in order to assist the release of the iliopsoas muscle
